RAC jdbc test program

I ran across a small java jdbc program a while back that I now need, but
cannot locate. The program was a simple one that just connected and
tested for a few things. I thought I found it on OTN, but I tried
searching again without any luck.
Does anybody have a link or some small java jdbc program can would test
a RAC database ? I am not a java guy so creating one myself would be
difficult.
