Hi, I agree that the unique constraint on non-unique index is practicable solution for the insert /*+ append */ scenario described above. Are there some other problems, overheads etc. additional to the fact, that the non-unique index allocates more space (additional ROWID in each index entry) as the unique index with the same indexed columns? thanks Jaromir D.B.
