Oracle 10gR2

Version 10.2.0.2.0
  For customers using Oracle 10gR2 (10.2.0.2.0), Patch bundle 5381980 is now
available for all supported Unix platforms. For Windows platform specific
patches, please see the bottom of this section.

Patch bundle# 5381980 addresses all of the bug issues discovered while testing
with Oracle 10gR2 (10.2.0.1.0).

The patch bundle alleviates the need for the previously documented required
'workaround' init.ora parameters:

_optimizer_cost_ based_transformation=off
_disable_function_based_index=true

Once the patch is installed, remove the preceding init.ora parameters before
bringing up your DB SIDS.

This Oracle patch bundle# 5381980 consists of the following bug fixes and is
available on all the platforms we GA'd on except for Windows. The Windows

  What "ptools stats collection script" do you mean. I hope not updstats.sql?
I haven't seen 8.48 yet so I don't know what it comes with.
