You should install the OJVM patch. You can use the GI combo, or you can do them separately (GI and OJVM). If your patching process tends to be pretty hands-on and this is a new system you're building then I'd suggest just using the combo. The main reason to do them separately is because the OJVM requires downtime (it's not RAC-rolling) if the JVM is installed in your database.
