Oracle DBA Needed in Los Angeles CA area

Los Angeles California area company (Huntington Beach) needs an Oracle DBA with
strong data modeling skills to join its staff.
This position is for a 7x24 operations using Oracle (8i, 9i) in SUN, AIX,
Linux environment.
It requires close teaming with operations and development staff.
The position reports to the DBA Manager.
No Relocation assistance is provided...must already be in the grater Los
Angeles area
Base Salary Range: up to about 100K.

*Responsibilities:
* Daily Oracle database maintenance and monitoring
* Oracle Backup and recovery
* Oracle system tuning
* Logical database design
* Physical database design and implementation
* SQL-PL/SQL coding to assist applications (e.g.
triggers, stored procedures, etc.)
* Assistance to applications in SQL-PL/SQL coding
techniques, debugging, query tuning
Requirements:
* Strong Data Modeling skills.
* Oracle database administration in a 8.x environment
for 4+ years, including database design and planning,
and performance tuning skills
* Backup and recovery knowledge for Unix/Linux and Oracle
* PL/SQL knowledge (e.g. triggers, stored procedures)
* TCP/IP
* SQL*Net
* Excellent teaming skills
* Self motivated, self starter
* Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening)
skills
Plus Skills:
* Application development lifecycle in a distributed
environment
* RMAN
* 9i OEM
* 9iRAC
* Shareplex
* Oracle Standby Database
* Erwin
