And I would agree with that use or a list member saying, “I’m available” – but
a stream of multiple messages from the same recruiter in a short period of time
is a completely different thing.

I rather doubt that I made such a blanket declaration. I may well have said
that if a list participant working for company X said "we (company X) have an
Oracle-related vacancy, let me know if you're interested" that would be a
reasonable use of the list.
