RE: NETCA, DBCA, and Deinstalls hanging in new 10g RAC build

Well, sounds like a textbook case for an SR ^_^

Keep in mind that 10.2.0.4 is a relatively new patchset and might
require further patches. I remember 10.2.0.3 required at least one patch
on solaris 10 in order to even start the database.

I know the prospect of opening an SR is not a happy one, but in the end,
they usually can help.

Also, have you run runcluvfy? I think it could point any problem with OS
config.

RDA could help as well.

BTW, have you checked the version of java?? Run which java to see where
the executable is located and, if necessary, set enviornment to use the
java build included in $OH/jre

Guillermo -

Thanks for the reply. As this is a prod build, I hate to move ahead
thinking there is a larger issue here that could bite us later.
Particularly as the previous builds did not exhibit similar problems.

I had already checked the $OH/cfg*/logs and there's no java errors, no
errors of any kind.

CRS is up and running when we attempt to run NETCA, OCR/VD has been
checked and doubled-checked.
