No 9i client needs to be installed...it will want a tnsnames.ora file --
which you can create for it. Define a system environment variable called
ORACLE_HOME and place the file in there (in the network/admin)

You can use the ODBC driver(s) that come with Access.

Thanks!

Does ODBC driver and/or Oracle 9i Client need to be installed first?
Thanks!

In MS Access it's File -> Get External Data -> Import (then
choose the ODBC Datasource option)

        Thanks!

        Uh...very carefully?

But seriously...I imagine a technical person has to set up the
ODBC data source first.

                Hi List,

How does a non-technical person access a 9i database in
MS Access via ODBC?

                Thanks,
