I think you are missing the fact that OSX is more than a pretty GUI for the desktop. If you look at e.g. the bioinformatics industry you'll find plenty servers running OSX on G5s in their server rooms. The Virginia Tech cluster was pretty cool as well, the worlds 3rd fastest super-computer when deployed. Last I heard they were rebuilding using xserve. Oracle on OSX in the server room? Agree that we won't see it happen anytime soon and it's hard to beat Intel/Linux on price. However, I thought what Virginia Tech did with the G5s and infiniband was pretty cool. 10g on a cluster like that would be cool. >> run it on Linux or some real *nix Oh.. OSX not a real *nix?
