If I'm not mistaken, that would require a logical standby on the Linux
side, which would in turn require that ROWIDs are not used in DML.
That's why I'm looking at a 1-year license for Goldengate for a planned
cross-platform move. The list price for the 1-year is 20% of perpetual,
and that overall cost for me should offset the cost to the business in
saving downtime for the move.
