Hmmm...

Not sure, but try just BEFORE "alter database open resetlogs"

RESTORE DATABASE UNTIL CANCEL;

CANCEL;

and then ...open resetlogs.

Subject: Can't open database

Hi,=20

I'm curious if I still have an option to open the=20
database....
The database is not in archivelog mode, online logfiles=20
are overwritten, old controlfiles gone. Undocumented=20
parameter from metalink didn't help.

Tia.
