I've found the book "Oracle RMAN 11g Backup and Recovery (Oracle Press) --
ISBN-13: 978-0071628600" very helpful. It has both feature overview, as
well as examples, and I've relied heavily on it.
The book "RMAN Recipes for Oracle Database 11g: A Problem-Solution Approach
(Expert's Voice in Oracle) -- ISBN-13: 978-1590598511) " is also really good
if you're needing examples of how to handle various scenarios.
