Hi all,

OEL 5.8 64bit
2.6.32-300.10.1.el5uek
GI 11.2.0.3.3 (PSU July 2012)

According to MOS Note 1408670.1 ACFS support for UEK 2.6.32-300 will be
in 11.2.0.3.2 GI PSU (we have 11.2.0.3.3 PSU).
This is part of the PSU installation output:

[...]
patch /xxxx/13919095 apply successful for home xxxx
patch /xxxx/13923374 apply successful for home xxxx
ACFS-9300: ADVM/ACFS distribution files found.
ACFS-9307: Installing requested ADVM/ACFS software.
ACFS-9308: Loading installed ADVM/ACFS drivers.
ACFS-9321: Creating udev for ADVM/ACFS.
ACFS-9323: Creating module dependencies - this may take some time.
ACFS-9154: Loading 'oracleoks.ko' driver.
ACFS-9154: Loading 'oracleadvm.ko' driver.
ACFS-9154: Loading 'oracleacfs.ko' driver.
ACFS-9327: Verifying ADVM/ACFS devices.
ACFS-9156: Detecting control device '/dev/asm/.asm_ctl_spec'.
ACFS-9156: Detecting control device '/dev/ofsctl'.
ACFS-9309: ADVM/ACFS installation correctness verified.
CRS-4123: Oracle High Availability Services has been started.

I didn't check the ACFS status right after the installation, but after
rebooting the nodes I noticed that the ACFS drivers are not
automatically loaded:

[grid@xxxx]$ acfsdriverstate -orahome /xxxx installed
ACFS-9203: true
[grid@xxxx]$ acfsdriverstate -orahome /xxxx loaded
ACFS-9204: false
[grid@xxxx]$ acfsdriverstate -orahome /xxxx version
ACFS-9325: Driver OS kernel version = 2.6.32-300.0.4.el5uek(x86_64).
ACFS-9326: Driver Oracle version = 120603.
[grid@xxxx]$ acfsdriverstate -orahome /xxxx supported
ACFS-9200: Supported

Any ideas?

Found the following Note on MOS, but this is RAC environment:

ACFS/ADVM is NOT started automatically after node reboot or after CRS is
restarted in non-RAC environment [ID 886407.1]

(I didn't try acfsload start –s yet and I'll open an SR tomorrow)

Thanks
Dimitre
