I know this was discussed in years gone by but I can't find the saved info: A database was "upgraded" (changed word size) from 32 -> 64 bit. Without rebuilding the tablespaces/datafiles, my understanding is you don't gain much in the performance arena. Will a dump of a datafile header prove that it was originally created w/32 bit oracle? thanks, joe ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com ---------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to: oracle-l-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put 'unsubscribe' in the subject line. -- Archives are at //www.freelists.org/archives/oracle-l/ FAQ is at //www.freelists.org/help/fom-serve/cache/1.html -----------------------------------------------------------------
