Thanks guys...
well i get it ....
we need to disable both the ssh & the telnet service in the server so that
there is no telnet connection from outside the system.

I think I got your point..
if anyone can login and delete then its related to sysadmin.
apart from disabling remote desktop are you using any vnc tools..
and what about sql plus client login, have you put any control on it..

thanks..subodh

Hey James,
Ya i understand that ...but then in Windows we havent enabled internet that
makes it almost away from all sources of virus/trojans.
Well remote desktop is enabled yes but then its just for 2-3 users.
The problem here we face is anyone from the domain can login & even delete
watever he wants.
MKS SSH i did disable that ..let me try it again so you mean all the MKS
services are down? Will it not affect my application R12?

 Regards,
N P

You probably need to disable the MKS SSH daemon and the FTP daemon as
well. That said, SSH is probably the most secure component of your
system by far...

And, for what it's worth, if you're that concerned about it, disable
Windows Remote Desktop.

Although, personally, if you're that concerned about security, I
wouldn't be running Windows in the first place.
