Hi Darshan, I dont know the institutes in the mentioned areas, but I would like to suggest you to learn the core DBA things first if you are starting your career as an amatuer in apps DBA field. I would say put a request in Atul's forum www.teachmeoracle.com and you may get some help from the people. Please find the below email from the Juris (Yury): The answer has been discussed quite a lot on the internet ;) Please see the following thread in that mailing list: Daily activities of an Oracle Apps DBA Oracle Apps for a fresher Some bits from there: ----------------- Tak a look on the following posts: How to become an apps DBA http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1419145 APPS DBA INFO http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1419146 Need help for Apps DBA interview http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1432113 eBus DBA Tasks http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1441204 How to become an apps DBA? Pls advise http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1415930 Oracle 11i Apps DBA training for Oracle 8i /9i DBA's http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=1422861 There are a lot of discussion there and how to get Apps trail version. I am sure you will manage to use not that effective but still useful otn forums search functionality :) My personal advice to you is: - Be curiouse do not stop asking questions and looking for the answers (not necessary asking others, just ask your self, why, how, how to brake etc.) - May be you can use the fact that you haven't bee an Oracle Core DBA before Apps. In some since it is an disadvantage. But from my experience (I was a Core DBA quite a long time before switching to Apps field) Core DBA-s tend to make mistakes by applying the same approaches to Apps DB as it to be regular Oracle DB-s. - In terms of looking for a job. I believe that your strength would be your attitude. Nobody expecting from person without experience to answer all questions correctly of go thorough an interview perfectly. Ask for adequate salary and go ahead with first your assignment. Then if you will continue to push in getting Apps DBA skill aboard after 1/2 of year you will get Apps DBA position. After 1-2 years you will became Sr. ;) ----------------- For an interview questions check the link following link.
