The end of what? Blindness? Or our profession-as-we've-known-it?
If this technology takes off, it means thousand, if not millions, more eyes to
image. More images to review, more data to be stored, organized, and
catalogued. More people to be trained. And, most importantly, less human misery
and hardship due to preventable blindness in underserved populations. That's
good news in my book.

I wish them well.

I was the just being facetious about it being the end of our profession.
Denice has eloquently discussed about how the march of technology is affecting
imaging.

I agree it is a great concept, and should help thousands of disadvantaged to
have a chance of diagnosing eye disease early.

As for the lens that you showed, it is a very good lens, but can be
limiting to only the 62 degree mirror which allows you to view pathology in
the angle.  If you are looking to be a bit more flexible and also look at
pathology on the iris itself or just behind the iris, I would suggest
looking at the OG3M Three Mirror Universal Lens. I prefer using this lens
most of the time as it allow me to have more choices, especially when I
have multiple nevi to photograph.  I also prefer the 18mm contact diameter
lens.  Ocular Instruments has this universal lens on their website if you
are interested.

Hello cousins,

I heave a weird request but my FF450 is not flashing and my service
superstar, Claus Goldbecker, believes it is the flash tube but he has no
stock of them and I don't really want to buy another flash tube unless I
know that is the problem. So want I would like to know is if any of you all
have a spare bulb (can be used but has to be confirmed working) that I could
borrow to test the theory that it is the bulb before I shell out the money
to buy a new one. I can pay for shipping to and from my clinic. Let me know
if anyone can help test my theory.
