We saw it beautifully here in the clear skies of California. The
Exploratorium also put on a live feed that was magnificent.

Check out "Chasing Venus" by Andrea Wulf. Great book about the
travails of Guillaume Le Gentil who spent a decade in 1761 chasing the
planet's passage cross the face of the sun.

We are privileged to see it again, as I doubt I will be here in 2117 (
unless of course that Oil of Olay I'm drinking takes effect...)

Joe,

We tried but we had cloud cover problems. We could image the clouds
when they were thin with the binocular projection system.

Thank you,

Interesting size comparison. Venus is the black dot on top and several
sun spots are in the middle.

This is very cool. Face away, turn binoculars backwards towards sun and
shine on paper. Easy to see...hard to hold still!

Did anyone else read the subject and think this was a post about FA?
With venous spelled wrong?
