Calling out any lucky new AngioPlex OCT-A users, pls share first impressions on
OPTIMAL - would love to hear....

I really think this may be the start of a new era, cool to see having started
in the FILM era, transitioned to the DIGITAL era (later than most), the OCT
era, and here we go....

Thanks,

Greg

Yes to the 30 degree OCT. Myopic eyes may have more of a "u" shape as you would
expect. The traditional compensations can be made.

Can you still do 30 degree OCT? How are you finding this on myopic eyes?

Like past modalities on the the platform, you can run the 55 OCT simultaneously
with the imaging component of your choice (i.e. Infra red, angiography,
multicolor, etc...).

That’s cool Jocelyn! Can you show an OCT image from the 55 degree OCT? I’d love
to see what it looks like.

Actually, the 55 degree OCT and MultiColor release happened a few months ago.
The 55 degree multicolor requires an upgrade to the lens, but the OCT is all
licensing and software.

You can only do OCT with the 30 degree lens. Technically the other lens is
actually 55 degree not 50.

I find the foveal detail is superior with the 30 degree lens but is more than
adequate on the 55 with good media. Heidelberg recommends using the standard 30
degree lens if better image quality is important. Cataracts and poor patient
compliance due to the brightness are the most limiting factors for HRA vs.
other modalities when it comes to quality.

Thank you. Can you run an OCT with the 50 degree?

I use 30 degree for AMD, CME, and Glaucoma. You can see the details better
using 30 degree. I use 50 degree and/or widefield for DME and to see any large
hemorrhages.
