[optimal] Need some Mac advice

Doctor has powerpoint for Mac 2011
I have powerpoint for PC 2013

I can open pp on my PC
Cannot open with ANY extension on the Mac

Have MP4 videos on Mac
Open just fine
Cannot drag and copy to PC backup drive

So confounding, this MAC to PC world...

Thoughts?
