You have been such a great asset to the OPS and I hope that with this new
opportunity you will humbly remember us. All is as it should be- one
continues to grow and challenge oneself . This is the natural extension of
your excellent work at the Univ. of Iowa. I read your missive with a tinge of
envy- in my earlier years I often thought of leaving clinical for the
commercial world; however, personal choices and needs of my family precluded
that. We shall follow your career with great pride!

After 17 years with the department of ophthalmology at the University of
Iowa, I have decided to take a position with Merit CRO (formerly Eyekor) as a
Project Manager. I'm thrilled to be moving on to a new adventure in my career,
but will miss the day to day adrenaline rush that is clinical care. I have so
many people that have influenced my career over the years and I hope that I
have helped the knowledge move forward a bit. I thank all of you that have been
a part of the journey. It's been a great ride and I hope that this opportunity
leads to new knowledge and new friends. I will of course continue to be a part
of the OPS and lend a hand whenever I can. If it weren't for the OPS, I
