Ophthalmic Photographer/ Technician Position
The University of Rochester- Flaum Eye Institute, a large and rapidly
growing academic practice in Rochester New York, is looking for an
experienced Ophthalmic Photographer/Technician. This candidate will
primarily be responsible for diagnostic imaging, clinical support and
patient care for various physicians and sub-specialties in the eye
institute. Imaging includes but is not limited to: OCT, fundus
photography, angiography, anterior segment imaging, external
photography and videography in support of the following sub
–specialties: retina, glaucoma, cornea, comprehensive, uveitis,
pediatrics, neuro-op, oculofacial plastics, and refractive. The
diagnostic team supports a compliment of: 12 residents, 2 fellows and
23 fulltime faculty physicians.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in ophthalmic photography required, 3-5 years of
experience.
• Certified Retinal Angiographer
• Experience or willingness to learn technical testing including but
not limited to: visual field, electro-physiology, ultra-sonography,
and biometry.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish
and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, and
co-workers. Must be a strong team player.
• Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to use
appropriate judgment, independent thinking and creativity when
resolving issues.
• Ability to effectively handle challenging situations.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, trouble shooting and problem solving, and
ability to learn and adopt new software applications and technology
• Ability to use select software applications, Photoshop, PowerPoint,
Video Editing Application
