Pam,

I have an LCD computer display, and have used it for about five years. I 
recommend these displays because they are smaller, lighter, and easier to 
read. You need to adjust the display's brightness and contrast. Sometimes 
Windows screens are dark print on a light background, so you can use the 
normal setting to read them. I sometimes have to use the optacon 2 for 
reading a screen, but generally things seem to work quite well. I think that 
LCD displays show much clearer images.
