Let's see ...

I think that was the Smith-Corona 2500-A typewriter, if memory serves.

Subject: [optacon-l] Hello - Help Needed

Hello - I have been on a search for information that perhaps someone can
assist me with.
I have an Optacon which I have used since 1971 in the very early days and
not sure how I'd live without it.

I also have a Smith Corona typewriter which uses the ribbons or cartridges
that slid in and out of the side of the typewriter. I also have the Optacon
attachment so depend heavily on it for mainly typing checks to pay my bills,
etc.

I am not sure of the model of the typewriter so not sure if I need a
specific ribbon or cartridge but do know mine is typing truly light and I'm
having to strike every letter two or three times to ensure others can read
it.

Does anyone know where you can order these old cassette type ribbons and
what the part number might be. I asked someone what the ribbon itself had
on it and they said it only said Type 2A.

Any help would be appreciated
