Oh, sad but true (sad). May I ask you how the story did finally end (smile)?
Even shop attendants are addicted to these barcodes. If a product has a price
but an erroneous or no bar code, you are unable to buy the product.

to me again - probably because of that damnable barcode! By that time, I
had had enough! This time, I made sure that I covered that barcode without
damaging the actual letter. As I remember, I stapled a card over the
address, and I also typed a short - and slightly nasty - note telling the
postal worker(s) involved to READ the name and address, forget that darned
barcode, and get that letter to the proper person. I admit that I was
rather angry because I had caught the error three times while sighted
workers "blew it" three times. Worse still, the postal worker at the
window had assured me twice that he would make sure the letter got to the
correct party, and the post office still "blew it" probably because somebody
relied on an erroneous barcode when they were on notice to READ and get it
right!

It's Robert again writing from Brooklyn, NY. Well, today I received my
mail, and I always look at my mail with the optacon before scanning it.
I
read the return address which was Coney Island Hospital. That's strange, I
said to myself. I Haven't been there in many years. I opened the envelope,
and looked at the letter. I immediately noticed that it was to my address,
but a different apartment number. I'm apartment 2E and the letter was for
apartment 2F. I smiled thinking that I was more accurate than the postal
worker, albeit much, much, much slower! I'd probably get two letters
delivered in a day. But seriously, I taped the envelope shut and put it on
the door of 2F. It's amazing what the optacon and our index finger can
interpret!
