Wow, what a profoundly clueless article!

What it SHOULD be saying is, the proprietary STB to which most consumers 
slavishly attach their TV set is a barrier to progress. And the answer is, 
let's see the CE companies wake the h*ll up and provide reasonable connected 
products. And then bypass the old STB.

Instead, the article goes in assuming you can't do without that proprietary 
STB, so here we are with Amazon having to offer one more!

Give me a freakin' break.
