Sorry Bert. We've been so busy arguing about CBS that I must have missed this...

Yup. A trend I've been telling you about for many months now. You are correct;
the authentication is selective because the content owners negotiate this
individually with every MVPD, and with every smart TV manufacturer, and with
every device maker that hooks up to a TV. I did learn something, however. I did
not know that Hulu requires MVPD authentication - perhaps this is only related
to accessing the shows while they are hot.

It seems to be a huge deal for you. I guess you are more deserving than the
masses, since you use a PC.
