Thanks, Dale. All of those re-sends worked great.

The problems KSNG had are exactly the same as the VHF stations up and
down the East Coast, and from the account, it happened just as I had
suspected. They relied 100 percent on the results of *a* propagation
model used at the FCC, and they failed to do the all-important "smell
test." Which is to say, step back, look at the answer, and see if it's
credible. You know, what your mom taught you to do back in grade school
arithmetic.

Because in this case too, the drop in power compared with analog was
more than even A/54 recommends, 14.3 dB.

"Now that more than 950 stations have shut off their analog signal, the
DTV transition is revealing a number of real-world limitations that the
industry didn't foresee ..."

Just as the above quote is frustrating, there is the other side of the
coin. One I know was using a two-bay Antenna Direct DB2 UHF antenna, the
smallest one of that series, indoors, 24+ miles from the Ch 7 and Ch 9
tower in DC, and had previously been receiving a snowy analog picture on
analog Ch 7 and 9. Surprise surprise, she lost reception when those
stations went back to VHF. Aaargh.

By the way, take a look at this new baby:

Obviously, Antenna Direct is responding to the cries of pain.
