Your double standard is alarming Bert.
Apparently it is OK for Samsung, Roku, Google, Facebook, Twitter and other
devices and edge services to collect and use your personal data to drive
targeted advertising, but allowing an ISP to collect this data should be a Net
Neutrality violation. And then there is the minor detail, that for the most
part the ISP cannot collect this data as the packets they transport are
typically encrypted...
I have attempted to turn off the smart features of my LG TV - it won’t let me
do it. At least my Apple TV is not spying on me.
