The only new and different twist in this article is that the big four
networks have given support to the idea of a delay! And here we were
told that broadcasters wanted to quit simulcasting.
The networks have far more to gain from a delay than local stations.
Only a handful of stations are owned by the networks..the power bills
for affiliates are a very large number compare to the power bills for
the network O&O's.
Extending the switch until the 08/09 season is over could gain a few
rating points for the networks.
