Must have been daylight almost through the night, this time of year. Never been to Finland, myself. > The general consensus is that they were happy with analog and > saw no need to change (and that it includes some people working > in TV there). That seems to be a universal reaction to digital TV, which has never ceased to astound me. Because I was NEVER satisfied with analog TV. Never from the first time I saw it and was conscious of what I was watching and able to compare it to movies. One aside: Isn't it about time that Hollywood understand how digital radio and digital TV signals are SUPPOSED to degrade? When they show bad RF conditions in movies and TV shows, they still have hissy audio and analog video with poor sync. Hey guys. Whether it's signals from space or from local TV, that ain't how they degrade no more.
