Problems with HDMI seem to be getting some attention; I have another one. Does anyone have experience of HDMI licensing of consumer products? HDMI's own "HDMI Compliance Testing Policies and Procedures" states that licensed products need to comply with the "HDMI Compliance Test Specification". However, the Polices and Procedures document refers to First Production Models and following models (Second Production) can be self tested. And this condition may only apply to HDMI Adopters? This suggests a licensed consumer product may not be tested by an ATC if manufactured by a non adopter. Regards Terry Terence J.
