And now the real test begins.

Will Millennials, who pirated millions of streams of Game of Thrones, decide to
pay $15/mo to binge on this show and the rest that HBO has to offer?

The premise of the article sounds good, but the reality may be that little will
change.

The legal audience for HBO is already well served. The real issue is the
$15/mo, whether a separate MVPD bundle is required or not. As we have discussed
ad nauseam, it has been possible to get HBO and broadband for about $50/mo for
the past year - there has been no surge in HBO subscribers.

The HBO Now app, which lets viewers see the network’s shows without a
standard cable plan, represents a big change from just a few years ago.
