The only people who complain about the congloms' control are those who seem
hell-bent to BE CONTROLLED.

So here we are, with these supposed "connected TV" products. In spite of being
connected to an obsessively wide-open medium, these "connected TVs" seem
designed to perpetuate the unwanted control. The excuse being, "when people
watch TV, they become total morons."

And the pundits and trade press can do no better than accept this notion.
