Charles Rhodes doesn't think they can work, unless limited to the low
VHF band.

In his numbers, he includes the effect of IM3 distortion. When WSD might
be operating on two open channels, they can jam an occupied channel.

He also says that N+/-2 should be added to any "adjacent channel" rule,
given the measured selectivity acumen of existing receivers.
