I think a staff appreciation lunch/snack would be great. Kelsey School's
PAC puts on an amazing spread for their staff, we should be able to do the
same!
The idea of the drive with Northland sounds great, and so does a weather
station...that would be so much fun!

Just wanted to also say thanks to you Jen and PAC for all your hard work. So
nice to see money being raised for our school.

Carnival:
I don't think we have a final total for what we raised, but I think it was a
huge success!
Maybe make some quick notes about what went well or what we would change if
we do it again next year.
Is someone able to make a thank you letter/card for Snakland and drop it and
the receipt off? Cam has the receipt at school right now.
Weather Station:
a couple of meetings ago we discussed purchasing a weather station for the
school so they can judge indoor recesses independently and hopefully the
grade 5 classes can use it during their science unit on weather. If everyone
is on board, Lee and I can take care of finding one this summer and maybe
PAC can present it to the school at the september super student assembly.
Staff appreciation:
Is there something simple and quick we can do this week as a thank you to
all the Opasquia Staff? A fancy snack day? any other ideas?
September plans:
I was talking to Lynda Geswin last weekend about a possible September
Fundraiser. She spoke to Northland Ford about doing a Drive for your school
fundraiser. Opasquia would get $20 for everyone who comes to test drive a
car. This would make a great playground equipment fundraiser! We could
also tie this into a welcome back BBQ and open house. PAC could host a BBQ
outside with the Ford fundraiser and teachers/staff could be there to mingle
and do the open house thing. It would also be a great idea if we could
incorporate CPF (Canadian Parents for French) as well. They could have a
table/station/activity to promote the program and committee.
Maybe we can start thinking about this event over the summer so we're not in
a huge rush first thing in September!
