*Tip of The Week #7 for the week of September 2, 2019** - Circulation Tool
“In-Library Use”*
*This tool is handy to k**eep track of **Items* *u**sed in **the
**Library **but
that have not circulated**. **Many libraries have Items such as Reference
Books that do not circulate. This handy tool will add a statistic that
someone used the item “in-house” whether an item that does not circulate or
does circulate. At least you will have a stat that someone touched and
perhaps looked over the book. Example a teacher comes in with 10 students
and uses a 4 volume set of Encyclopedia’s. After they leave you can bring
the 4 volumes to the circulation station and choose “In-Library Use” on
Circulation Tab…..scan each item 11 times as you may not know who used the
items but you will have statistics on this set to assist in your collection
development in the future. This option also comes up in return if you have
an item that shows no transactions. You can have an “in-house use” stat
added to the item(s). Great tool for collection development*
*Select Circulation> In-Library Use from the main menu.*

*Scan or type barcode in Item Barcode box (press Enter key or click
Register button if needed.)*
