Here's what's happening at Old Union Presbyterian Church:
Join us this evening for an *Ash Wednesday Worship Service*, beginning at
7:00. Our friends from Plains and Crestview Churches will join us.
Throughout Lent, our three churches will share Wednesday worship, with a
light supper at 6:15 and worship from 7:00 to 7:30.
Because we will be celebrating the Lord's Supper this Sunday, the pastor
needs elders to participate in *home communion* on Monday and Tuesday
afternoons. If you are an ordained elder (whether currently on session or
not) and you are available and interested either afternoon, please respond
to this email or contact Peter.
Throughout Lent, we will receive the *One Great Hour of Sharing
<https://specialofferings.pcusa.org/offering/oghs/>* offering to fund
assistance for disaster victims, people struggling with hunger and food
security, and communities seeking to lift themselves out of poverty and
injustice. You can donate on-line, through the offering plate, or by
picking up a "fish box" in the lobby. The attached calendar provides
suggestions for daily contributions that help you recognize your blessings
while helping those in need.

which will begin the week of March 15. Groups will meet on Sunday mornings
at 10:00 and Tuesday evenings at 7:00. Please sign up so that we can order
a participant's workbook for you!
We are collecting underwear and hygiene products of all types for teenagers
in need who attend *Butler High School <https://www.basdk12.org/1/home>*.
Place your donations in the bin in the lobby.
If you have been thinking about joining our *mission trip* to Taylorville
Illinois and haven't signed up yet, now is the time! We welcome people of
all skill levels and all ages 16 and over. The total cost will be no more
than $100. Speak with the pastor for more information.
Thanks to a merry band of* "Helping Hands" *who cleaned up and organized
the maintenance room in the fellowship hall! Because of their efforts, the
space is much more usable.
A group of about 25 of us enjoyed a *Shrove Tuesday Spaghetti Dinne*r last
night, complete with merry (and comical) music-making and time to consider
how God has equipped us all. See the attached photo!
