Old Union Church will celebrate Palm Sunday with a virtual* worship* service
on our Facebook group <https://www.facebook.com/groups/4811782028/>,
beginning at 10:00. You'll find the worship bulletin attached; download it
to make it easier for you to participate. Because it's Palm Sunday, do
something special! Dress up in your party clothes! Have branches (palm or
otherwise) to wave! Lay your coats or towels on the ground, like the crowd
did for Jesus on his way to Jerusalem!
Then after worship, head over to our *Virtual Donut Time*
<https://us04web.zoom.us/j/520193524>! We'll look like the Brady Bunch,
with all our faces in little squares across the screen!
If this will be your first time on a Zoom meeting like this, here are a few
pointers:
- If you have trouble hearing, or if your face doesn't show up on the
screen, hover your mouse over the bottom of the screen and "Audio" and
"Video" will show up on the bottom left.
- Once your audio is working, please press "Mute" on the bottom left
when you're not speaking, so we don't hear everyone's background noise.
- At the bottom in the middle, press "Chat," and a white screen will pop
up on the right. You can use it to send and receive messages while we're
together.
- Unfortunately, we'll have to take turns talking. Otherwise, it will
sound like the fellowship hall before we put up the acoustic panels!
Feel free to log in sometime before Sunday morning so you can practice
using it. Who knows? You might run into someone else is also practicing!
By the way, they haven't figured out how to send donuts through the
Internet yet, so you'll have to supply your own.
