Hi, Members!
I am pleased to share that we’ve received the City of Menlo Park’s building
permit to begin construction on the manganese treatment plant.
It has taken two years to get the City’s Planning Commission approval (last
year) and now the Building Department’s approval of the building permit.
I’d like to thank the board members, water operators, alternates, and staff
for all the work that has helped us reach this key milestone.
Construction will begin in the next few weeks and the overall project is
expected to take about 6 months to complete.
Members and residents of Oak Court and French Court may be affected
occasionally by construction traffic on Oak Court. The good news is that
all of the large treatment plant components have already been delivered—the
media filtration system, the tanks, the pumps, and the control system. But
we expect other deliveries; and heavy construction equipment will be
working on-site and using Oak Ct at times throughout the project. Please
take care when driving on Oak Ct during this period.
