Hi Bill,
COCC is out a week too and we have heard from 208 students (roughly a 5%
response rate). We did the following promotion, with some of these completely
outside my wheelhouse. ☺
· Incentivized the survey with a chance to win one of four $50 Fred
Meyer gift cards
· Emailed and texted students with the initial invitation
· Announcement in Blackboard on the main login page thru May 12
· Social medial posts to go out this week (I think) and an announcement
in the monthly student eNewsletter in May
· An announcement to Faculty and Staff from our VPI urging everyone who
works directly with students to promote it. I also just requested assistance
from the Instructional Deans today to encourage the faculty in their area to
promote it with students.
AND… I find it all exhausting. I’m totally looking forward to SENSE this Fall.
☺

Hi Bill -
PCC offered students the chance to win one of ten $100 Amazon gift cards for
completing the survey. We administered the Noel-Levitz Priorities Survey for
Online Learners in Winter 2021 with only a 10% response rate (no incentives)
BUT the storm power/wifi outages also occurred during that time period. 😵

Greetings OCCCIR,
I am curious as to the return rate others are seeing for the ‘online’ CCSSE
student survey. I have emailed the students to encourage participation, it is
on our web page, and it is on our Canvas Learning banner.
I am at 21/976 in 6 days of announcing.
Is anybody doing any promotions, raffles, or other ideas to promote completing
the survey? In the past our returns have been 350 or so, but we were doing
in-class participations.
Thank you,
Bill
