We continue to experience very high warbler counts here on Sauvie Island. Over
the past several days I have seen scores of Orange-crowned and Yellow-rumped
warblers on our property, plus probably 6-8 Wilson’s, one Black-throated gray,
four or five Common Yellowthroats (they nest here), and today, my first
Nashville (just the second I’ve ever seen on our property). The numbers
greatly exceed anything I’ve ever seen here before. The numbers for
orange-crowned are especially high. I also saw a small flock of American White
pelicans flying over shortly before 5 PM.
