I remember when a Washington birder found a Y-b cuckoo in Grant county. He
went home to Tacoma and called Harry Nehls. Harry passed the sighting on to
the field notes editor for eastern Oregon. The sighting appeared in Oregon
Birds 6 months later. In John Day Tom Winters saw that and exclaimed "a
______ing Cuckoo!" He would have loved to get more timely notice.
