If you went to the link for Mike Patterson's article about the 1998
BT Curlew, I will point out that it is Kathy Castelein, not Karen,
for anyone who may be confused.
This is the error that I am most embarrassed by in the article, but
there are also other inaccuracies, some due to the very short turn
around time I was given for the article, some unequivocally due to poor
editing and source checking. I was working primarily from the email
stream of postings coming from 3 states and British Columbia that I
had amassed and aggregated on a web-page back in the dinosaur days of
the inter-tubes and did not have the time or resources to run down every
claim.
It's why I always like to include the second paper written for Western
Birds (and not authored by me) which had co-authors, real peer review
and time...
