Laura and I just watched "Sarah Plain and Tall". I don't think I have ever
heard a sound track with so many bird songs and calls. But the movie was set in
grassland habitat,( theoretically at least in Kansas) and I did not recognize
many of the calls. Long-billed Curlew was prominent, I also heard Western
Meadowlark, Great Horned Owl, Mourning Dove,and I think Blue Jay and Tufted
Titmouse, but I'm not sure. We would be interested to hear from someone else
who has seen the movie and was able to identify all the birds on the sound
track.
