One of the oddities of Oregon birding lists is that there are a dozen of them
but none for Lane County. We just use OBOL for local postings.
For a time there was also an Oregon RBA listing on Yahoo, I’m not sure if it
still exists.

And since the yamhillbirders list never seems to get mentioned, let me invite
one and all to join for sightings of birds of Yamhill County and nearby

It will not overwhelm your mailbox, but will tell you what's going on in
Yamhill County of interest.

Hi Mary, as I understand it, OBOL is for bird sightings—common or rare—trip
reports, announcements of meetings, etc. BOO is for everything else. It
began of course as a place for people to keep track of the Malheur debacle,
but now is evolving into a nice place to go for discussion of other issues
as they affect birds—politics, conservation, etc. I have not yet seen a bird
reported on BOO!
If I’m off track, please correct.

Well, for politics, I have a different forum, for birds, I like OBOL.
However, it sounds like the birders have all migrated to BOO. I have not
subscribed to BOO, but do I need to now to be up to date on bird news?
