.... and speaking of no place like home ... I will go out on a limb and make a
public prediction that over the next few days the annual pulse of migrating
Sandhill Cranes will begin, and possibly peak, over the Portland metro area and
the lower Willamette Valley. The calendar timing is right and following the
period of clouds and south winds we've had, the forecast for the next few days
calls for mostly clear skies with a light north wind. So as Jim Danzenbaker
says, keep your eyes and ears skyward....
