Thrush. We see more than one in migration, to explain why Swainson's are
sometimes reported before they are really here
This morning on the way to see my sister and her husband, I saw a flock of
larger shorebirds from Duckflat Road, it was 12 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and a
few DUNLIN.
At the scrape seen from Buena Vista Rd at Ankeny, there were lots (more
than 100) of LEAST SANDPIPERS with a few KILLDEER and LB DOWITHCERS and a
GREATER YELLOWLEGS or more were around somewhere
