I don’t usually post our survey but thought what the heck…will do it. Jody
Fairchild, Don Laufer and I ran the survey Tuesday January 22. Weather was
chilly and a little overcast with some showers midday.
59 miles, 5 hours and 45 minutes
60 birds in total.
25 Red-tailed Hawks
18 American Kestrels
1 Northern Harrier, male
8 Bald Eagles, 1 Adult, 7 Subadults
5 Red-shouldered Hawks
1 Perrigrine Falcon
1 Coopers Hawk
1 Unidentified Buteo, we think a rough-legged but couldn’t get a good enough
look to call it for sure.
I want to give a shout out to Don and Jody for their dedication in helping me
with this survey. I couldn’t do it alone.
