(Just now the local family of Black-tailed Deer is back in my yard. It
includes a 3 point buck, a forked horn and a doe with two yearlings. A
week ago I chased them off but now they are back)
I see almost no Salem references to HERMIT THRUSH in recent ebird data.
HETH winters somewhat sparingly in the Salem area of the WV. There are 2
in West Salem at Linda's house and Karen's house, another up at
Keizer-Rapids Park, and one has been in my yard for a month or so and
that's all. I saw my HETH again yesterday 12/10 by the front step where I
had tossed out some shriveled up blueberries that I didn't want anymore
Other yardbirds from today include White-crowned Sparrow (3),
White-throated Sparrow, Fox Sparrow (2), Song Sparrow, Spotted Towhee (2),
DE Junco (4), Bewick's Wren. Bushtit (12), BC Chickadee
